3D Imaging & Surgical Implants
In order to provide the best dental care possible, we invested in the latest technology in dental diagnostics, the Sirona GALILEOS 3D Dental Cone Beam CT Imaging System. Our office is one of the first in the state to offer this cutting-edge technology!
Cone beam imaging goes beyond traditional X-rays by producing 3D imagery that is a virtual mirror image of our patients, using the lowest radiation possible.
With GALILEOS, a single scan provides a complete and comprehensive image of the jaw during your visit, and immediate diagnosis and treatment planning is usually possible during a single visit. The advanced imagery enables the diagnosis of problems that are undetectable by conventional imaging techniques, which allows for more precise treatment plans.
In addition, we now offer surgical implants using the GALILEOS implant software. The 3D guided implant surgery significantly reduces the margin for error compared to traditional implant technology.
Benefits of Sirona Galileos 3D Imaging:
- Lowest radiation possible
- Comfortable scan of the mouth, face, and jaw
- Easy sharing of images with referring doctors got them to where they are.
- Immediate diagnosis and treatment planning in one visit
- Increased accuracy in diagnosis of existing problems
- Precise implant surgery offered in-house

Intraoral Camera
X-rays are essential in determining dental problems, but it may not reveal everything happening inside your mouth. Timmons Family and Cosmetic Dentistry is proud to utilize an intraoral camera in our office.
An intraoral camera can project an image of your tooth onto a monitor, so you can see the problem in a magnified version and how we can correct the issue. It can also identify problems that may not be detected by the general means of examination, including cracks in your fillingsor fractured teeth. Similar to the size and design of a dental mirror, an intraoral camera allows you to make better decisions regarding your treatment as you can see the same things we see.
